Somatic Psychotherapy
Relational, somatic psychotherapy for individuals - supporting trauma, grief & loss, nervous system healing, and deeper self-understanding, offered in person in Kitchener-Waterloo, ON.

I work as a relational, somatic psychotherapist at Mindful Somatics, based in Kitchener, ON. I support individuals who want to understand themselves more deeply, feel more at home in their bodies, and move through life with greater clarity, meaning, and connection.
My practice is trauma-informed, relational, and somatic, drawing from approaches like the Hakomi Method, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Neuro-Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Body-Mind Centering, Ecotherapy, Spiritually-Integrated Psychotherapy, and others.

As a somatic therapist, I believe that lasting change involves more than insight alone. While understanding our stories is important, many of the patterns that shape our lives are also held in the body and nervous system. Together, we explore these patterns with curiosity and compassion, creating opportunities for new experiences, greater self-awareness, and a more integrated relationship with yourself and others.
What this might look like in our work together:
• Work directly with the body's automatic responses to stress, emotion, and relationship.
• Develop awareness of how you show up in relationships and the patterns that shape your connections with others.
• Explore recurring forms of suffering, self-protection, and emotional pain with curiosity rather than judgment.
• Understand how past experiences continue to live in the body and influence the present moment.
• Create new emotional and relational experiences that support healing, nourishment, and growth.
• Deepen your capacity to stay present with difficult emotions, discomforts, and bodily sensations.
• Reflect on questions of meaning, purpose, values, and how you want to participate in your life.
• Integrate insight, emotion, and embodied experience into a more coherent sense of self.
